Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Share Place LLC (“Share Place”, “trndr”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about users of the trndr iOS application (the “App”). Share Place LLC also operates a separate web platform at https://trndr.app; the web platform’s privacy practices are described in a separate Privacy Policy at trndr.app/privacy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
• Account information: email address; password stored in hashed, encrypted form by our authentication provider; authentication tokens
• Profile information: display name and brand information you configure (brand name, handle, icon image)
• User Content: text, prompts, drafts, generations, Style DNA samples, carousel projects, storyboards, slides, exported images, and recorded reel video and audio files
• Communications: messages you send to support@trndr.app and any attachments
1.2 Information collected automatically
• Device and environment: device model, OS version, App version, language, timezone, locale
• Subscription: purchase receipts and subscription status from Apple
• Network: IP address and approximate location for security and rate-limiting
1.3 Information from third parties
• Apple — anonymized receipt data and subscription status to validate your Subscription
• Web payment processors (Stripe, Lavatop, CloudPayments, Tbank) — only if you hold a web Subscription — to link your web entitlement to your Account
• Generative AI providers — processing status and generated output returned in response to your requests
2. Device Permissions
The App requests these iOS permissions only when needed for the feature you invoke:
• Camera — to record reels with the in-App teleprompter; video is processed on-device and uploaded only if you choose to save or export it
• Microphone — to capture audio for reels and drive teleprompter auto-scroll via speech recognition
• Speech Recognition — on-device where supported; recognized text is used only to position the teleprompter and is not stored server-side by default
• Photo Library (read) — to select images for carousels; only images you explicitly pick are processed
• Photo Library (add) — to save exported carousel images back to your library
You can revoke these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to operate the App and provide features you request; authenticate and secure your Account; process Subscriptions and cross-platform entitlement between iOS and the web platform; provide customer support; diagnose bugs and performance issues; understand aggregate usage; detect and prevent abuse or fraud; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your User Content to train AI models unless you have separately and affirmatively opted in.
4. How AI Features Handle Your Content
When you use an AI feature (for example, generating a carousel, or using Style DNA), the relevant input (your text, style samples, or prompt) is transmitted to a third-party generative AI model provider (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) via our backend, solely to return a response. We do not permit those providers to use your inputs or outputs to train their general-purpose models, subject to each provider’s current API terms.
AI processing may involve transmission of data across borders, including to the United States. Do not submit sensitive personal data, trade secrets, or confidential information you are not permitted to share with third-party processors.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only with the following categories of recipients and only as necessary:
• Service providers that host and operate the App on our behalf (authentication and database provider Supabase, object storage, content delivery, crash reporting, analytics tools)
• Apple, in connection with App Store distribution and in-App purchase processing
• Third-party generative AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google), strictly to process your AI requests
• Web payment processors (Stripe, Lavatop, CloudPayments, Tbank) — only if you hold a web Subscription — to link your web entitlement
• Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants, auditors) under confidentiality obligations
• Government authorities and other parties when disclosure is required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect rights and safety
• Successors in interest in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, with protections in place
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Data Retention
• Account data — retained while your Account is active, with a limited post-deletion retention for backup, audit, and legal obligations, after which it is deleted or irreversibly anonymized
• User Content — retained while saved in your history; removed when you delete the project or your Account
• Subscription records and payment receipts — retained for the period required by tax, accounting, and consumer-protection laws (typically 7 years in the US)
• Diagnostic and crash logs — up to 90 days in operational systems
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, least-privilege access controls, and logging. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for notifying us at support@trndr.app of any suspected unauthorized access.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you reside, you may have rights under applicable law to:
• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Delete your personal information (“right to be forgotten”)
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Receive your personal information in a portable format
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority
8.1 Self-service options in the App
• View and edit your Account email from Settings → Account
• Delete your Account and associated data from Settings → Account → Delete account (permanent; backup cycles may retain residual copies briefly)
• Revoke device permissions in iOS Settings
8.2 Other requests
Contact us at support@trndr.app from the email address associated with your Account. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and may ask you to verify your identity.
8.3 EEA, UK, and Switzerland residents
Share Place LLC is the controller of your personal information. Our legal bases are: performance of a contract with you; your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests in operating and securing the App; and compliance with legal obligations. International transfers to the United States rely on appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
8.4 California residents
Share Place LLC does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to be free from retaliation for exercising these rights.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@trndr.app and we will take steps to delete it.
10. Third-Party Services
The App may link to or integrate with third-party services (such as social-media platforms where you choose to publish exported content). Those services are not controlled by us, and their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email and/or an in-App notice. Unless stated otherwise, changes become effective no earlier than 10 days after notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
